"My daughter has never taken a pacifier, but I bought this for her anyway because it was so different. And sure enough when I tried to put it in her mouth, she spit it right out.

But then she had a horrible fit of teething pain a few days later, and I gave this to her again, and she's loved it ever since. She can actually hold onto the ring, unlike most pacifiers, so she can put it in her mouth herself, take it out, chew on it however she likes, and repeat. The green but is textured and has jagged edges, and she loves to chew on them when she's feeling teething pain. The red bit is bigger than most pacifiers, and I think it's not really meant to sooth... she just gnaws away at it when she's in pain.
